As The Kinks sang, where have all the good times gone? Kaiser Chiefs certainly seem to have mislaid them. Following a selection box of merry indie pop symphonies including the joys of 'Ruby' and 'Angry Mob', Leeds' finest seem to have taken a picnic hamper of downers.
Admittedly it is just a limited 7" release, but why choose this song? The chorus consists of a simple melody repeated, but tedium doesn't describe it. The fade out sounds like the band apologising and slinking out the back door to avoid abuse.
As a song, it's average at best, a washy bit of album filler fluff, found on the sleeve of a tramp. Essentially a massive disappointment. "I won't be the one to disappoint you, anymore." Sorry boys, but you just have.

Thankfully Kaiser Chiefs aren't as one-dimensional as your reviews.
