Feist has won this year's US Shortlist Prize for her album 'The Reminder'.
The award is the US equivalent of the UK's Mercury Prize, and to be eligible, artists must have sold less than 500,000 albums in the States. Canadian singer Feist is the second female singer to have won the award in the seven years it has been running - Cat Power won last year.
Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody was one of the judges, and said of 'The Reminder': "The album of the year for 2007 or any year I can think of: it’s modern and classic all at once. There are so many kinds of beauty in this record."
