Elbow frontman Guy Garvey has revealed he is to compile a collection of his late friend Bryan Glancy's recordings.
Glancy was a Manchester songwriter who died a couple of years ago, and is the inspiration behind Elbow's Mercury Prize-winning album 'The Seldom Seen Kid'.
Garvey told The Sun: "Bryan introduced everyone to each other and had a huge influence on all the bands that have come out over the last 15 years. He was an amazing musician and I want to make sure he's remembered.
"He never released anything while he was alive, but he's got a vast archive of home recordings and demos that we're going to compile. It's a big job, there's about 30 of us involved in the project, but I'm determined it will happen.".
Elbow dedicated Tuesday's Mercury Prize win to Glancy, and said the award would go to Bryan's mother Mandy.
