With her new single 'Oh My God', bound for a re-release this month, a UK tour seems the right way to round off the year for the Nordic dynamo. With a younger audience than on her previous tours Ida Maria finds the concert rather "nice", rather than the more raucous receptions she is used to.

Being supported by the delectable new soul queen VV Brown, Ida, alongside her all-male Swedish band (who she jokingly refers to as being chosen from a magazine) take the stage at 10.15pm, which is surely past the bedtimes of most the front row. It seems her last single 'I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked' has spread the appeal of Ida to a new generation of Avril Lavigne fanatics and viewers of T4. This isn't exactly a negative, just a surprise for the artist who seemed destined to become the new Peaches meets Bjork. She is still as debauched as ever, as she bounds onto the stage wearing bright, cartoon-like boots and a sequined pink skirt. Introducing most songs individually, she gives a vivid and humorous insight into the reasoning and essence of her songs. 'Stella' is a particularly emotional piece, inducing a heavy silence within the crowd.

Ida plays one new song, a more collaborative effort from the band. In contrast to her earlier work, it lacks the interactive appreciation observed by previous songs 'Keep Me Warm'. Ending her first set with the delightful 'Oh My God', the crowd springs to life, and the chaotic vision of a lady covering herself in water and dragging around her mic stand around like a dog is a sight to behold.

The band leave to a cacophony of clapping before she returns to play a solo song on bass guitar, which she didn't mind messing up again and again. The last song of the night had to be her biggest hit so far, 'I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked'; the band spring into action running to the front, to create a mass sing-along, sweat spilling onto the fans below (who certainly didn't mind the souvenir). Far more rock 'n' roll than Avril Lavigne.
